Cloud Security by Default is an initiative of three private individuals. Freddy Dezeure is an independent strategic advisor, the founder and former head of the EU’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-EU) and the founder of the EU MITRE ATT&CK® Community; Lokke Moerel is a professor of Global ICT Law at Tilburg University, a member of the Dutch Cyber Security Council, and the chair of the Netherlands Atlantic Association; George Webster is the CEO of a stealth startup and the former Chief Security Architect at HSBC. 

The initiative is not driven by commercial, private or national interest. It is supported by many individuals and organisations in the community.
